Hello! I go by xiling “(￣◇￣)ノ〃 (it's derived from my Chinese name!) I was born on the 13th June, 2007 and I live in a quiet suburb of London, England. It's nice to meet you ^_^!!!!


I often feel overwhelmed by the intensity and speed of today's internet and find comfort in this personalised, eclectic side of the web. I love spending hours exploring the vivid stories of strangers from all over the world; lonely, peaceful... it reminds me of passing by apartment buildings of a nighttime city, glimpsing the multicoloured windows of each individual life. The name of this website was thus inspired: "路人" translates to "passerby".


I've never been confident in creating a convincing "About Me" page because my identity is constantly in flux, and what I write here today may not resonate with me tomorrow. I'm unsure of myself in that respect. I struggle with conversations, being shy both in person and online... it's very hard for me to express myself to others in a way that feels comfortable.


But then again, that's the whole point of this website, isn't it? One of my main concerns is the relationship between my identity, my interests, my art (in the broadest sense), and my inspirations. I am inspired by the world around me, by the art I experience, the stories I interact with, and my own imagination. This website is a display of all of this, and an attempt to connect the dots.
